Pain Science &

The Nervous System

You will get the foundational understanding of how pain works in the body and how your nervous system functions. What is pain? What is an injury? What is the nervous system? By the end of the mentorship, you will be able to confidently answer these questions and use that information to help your clients and students.

Anatomy Refresh

We look closely at anatomy from the lens of functional movement and recovery.  Where an injury is located plays a significant role in how we approach movement. We look at different tissues and different systems of the body to give you a practical way of assessing movement to improve your ability to work with people who have pain and injury.

Common Injuries &

Recovery strategies

As yoga teachers, we see patterns of injury. We will spend a significant time looking at some of the most common yoga injuries, and going through why that is and how we can improve our skillset to prevent injuries. And of course, practical, step by step ways of working through these common injuries.

Working 1:1 and

Group Classes

We know that teachers need to be equipped to not only work individually with people, but also how to guide group movement in a way that balances freedom of movement and safety. You will get the step by step tools on what to consider when teaching a group class. And, you will build confidence and clarity with how to create an individualized plan for private clients.

Final Case Study

You will create your own case study and present this in our bonus final call in January. Take what you have learned, and craft a specific plan for a client (real or hypothetical). This will require an in depth study of a specific injury and step by step protocols you will be implementing. Diana & Monica will support you in the months after the mentorship with any support you need in finishing this case study.

Build Community

This mentorship is all about building a network of like minded, smart, compassionate and dedicated teachers. We will have a private discord server set up where we can all stay in touch before, during, and after the mentorship. Share your questions, your wins, and lean on the community to support you in your teaching journey!
